Doesn’t help that it’s about 40 outside right now.
Time to get to work. If any oppos are in the area and want to stop by, come on down. Plenty of work to do lol

I thought you were shopping around to get something new? Why are you modifying it?

Cancelled the search. Refreshing it and keeping it! (and rallying it)

At the risk of exposing my inexperience, what the hell is that?!

Few ever actually get to see these. It’s part of an automatic transmission valve body. This particular piece is the upper section from a Saturn TAAT, which was the 4-speed auto used in S-series Saturns.

Wooooo, Labyrinth I love that game!

That explains why I didn’t know what it was.
To my best knowledge transmissions are powered by black magic

Valve bodies are simple in concept, but the moment I look at the labyrinth, I get all cross-eyed.
I mean, really all they do is send fluid to the right places to engage the proper gears. But I don’t bother following the maze like “this passage sends fluid to the reverse servo, that one feeds 2nd gear...”. No, that’s too much for me. The only things I concern myself with are making sure its clean and that the little parts go back in the right spots. The rest is still kinda magic to me.
BTW, did you finish your project?

Yep, it’s all finished I drove it to work.
Follow up post coming soon to cover the full fiasco.
